Combined with a Combi deck (or Twin Blade deck on the S1500) , the Powered Grass Collector is the quietest, most efficient cut and collect system around. Renowned for its performance and ideally suited to the British climate, the PGC collects grass cuttings completely even in wet weather, while the rear roller creates the classic striped lawn finish. It's equally at home clearing up fallen leaves and after scarifying.
The lightweight manual deck lift can be adjusted through ten incremental settings to provide a cutting height of 12mm to 101mm (depending on type of cutter deck). The lever for the manual lift features a "trigger" style locking mechanism, giving extra grip and clear lever positioning.
Available on almost all Westwood models, the Operating Performance Indicator (OPI) provides information on the performance and operation of the machine via a mounted dashboard alphanumeric display. The OPI can sense the current working conditions and the load of the engine to inform you of the required RPM setting. The OPI also ensures optimum speed, performance and economy at all times.
To minimise effort, electric lift and emptying of the Powered Grass Collector is a standard fitting on the larger V series tractors (V25-50HE and V23-50D).
The Westwood Park Brake is an important safery feature. The tractor cannot be started unless the brake is engaged.
Maximum grip is attained in the trickiest conditions by selecting Diff Lock to prevent wheel spin (available on V-series tractors).
Westwood garden tractors are designed to produce the lowest levels of noise, ensuring they fall well within EU noise regulation levels. Our revolutionary double-skinned, noise-reducing bonnets are fitted to all Westwood garden tractors.
Ball bearing steering is used on all Westwood garden tractors, allowing for light and precise movement. It balances the applied load with the motion needed, helping to deliver tight turning circles.
The foot controls offer hydrostatic, smooth and variably controlled transmissions. Featured on all Westwood garden tractors, one pedal controls forward speed and the other is for reverse.
Choose from three different deck options, in various sizes. The Twin Blade rear discharge deck (fits S1500H only) uses two blades for highly efficient cutting. High Grass Mulching decks tackle the tallest grass and nettles, and our Combi deck combines the virtues of rear discharge and mulching (fast, collection-free mowing) in one deck. The S150 Mini is fitted with a Combi single blade deck as standard.
The Westwood garden tractor Power Take-Off (PTO) enables a variety of powered attachments to be run by utilising the power of the tractor's engine. Attachments that use the PTO include the Powered Grass Collector, scarifier and broadcast spreader.
Brushes in the PGC rotate against the forward motion of the tractor throwing the cuttings to the rear of the hopper, packing them in tightly. The brushes can be raised or lowered to provide the best possible collection for the conditions. This brushing action also helps to stimulate the turf, while the rear roller creates the classic striped lawn finish.
